Welcome to The Brass Band of Voluntary Fire Brigade in Słupca website!
The Brass Band of VFB in Słupca was formed in 1893. It is the oldest artistic group and the pride of the town. The Brass Band is constantly present in cultural and social life thanks to the town authorities, the kindness and understanding of VFB Board.
The Brass Band participates in different kind of mass events: stage concerts, galas, national and church ceremonies. It plays rich repertoire which can satisfy various musical tastes and makes it suitable for every occasion. It plays traditional, modern, classical and light music. The Band also presents a parade drill.
The Brass Band takes part in competitions, tournaments and festivals for Brass Bands all over the country and abroad. It has been successful in concerts, parade marches and parade drill.
In the orchestra, there are people that are pursuing their musical passions. Many among them are people from different age groups, from adults who are working in non-musical jobs, to students of different colleges, high schools and middle schools. At present the Brass Band consists of 85 people including musicians, the choreografic group of Drum Majorettes and Children’s Dance Group.
Rehearsals for the band take place every Monday and Friday starting at 6.30 p.m. at the VFB office in Poland, Słupca, Ratajczaka 1 Street. We provide instruments and instructional lessons free of charge, with lessons provided by instructors with years of performing experience.
